What You Need to Know About Green Junglefowl - Gallus Varius

Green junglefowl (Gallus varius) is a species of bird found in the tropical forests of Southeast Asia. This species is known for its green plumage and a bright red face. Males have a flamboyant appearance and are decorated with feathers in green, black and blue colors. Females, on the other hand, have a duller color and are generally covered with brown and striped feathers.

Reproductive:

- Green junglefowl breed mostly during the rainy seasons. During the breeding season, males try to attract females by fluffing their feathers and performing a special dance.
